Fiji Holidays

A tropical paradise of 333 islands, Fiji holidays offer sun, warm seas and sensational diving adventures.

The main island of Viti Levu offers a combination of beach resorts surrounded by lush mountain scenery. From here you can experience the beauty of the Coral Coast, a beautiful stretch of sun-drenched bays and beaches.

But for a true Fijian experience, head out to one of the outer islands of the Mamanucas or Yasawas. These heavenly groups of islands are the pin-ups for beach holidays. Their calm, crystal-clear lagoons surrounded by palm-lined shores rank high on best beach lists. These islands offer total seclusion amid some of the most picturesque island landscapes in the South Pacific.

Fiji's islands are also famed for their pristine coral reefs. Teeming with over 1,500 different types of fish. From butterfly fish to groupers, reef sharks and manta rays, these fertile waters are a hive of marine life. Whether you're a veteran scuba diver or novice snorkeller, a holiday in Fiji provides the ultimate marine adventure.

Fijians are amongst the world's happiest people. Renowned for their hospitality and friendliness, expect a warm Bula welcome from the locals. To encounter other Fijians traditions such as a Kava ceremony we suggest embarking on a cultural village tour.

However you choose to enjoy your Fiji holiday, rest assured, your own piece of paradise awaits.

    Best time to visit Fiji

Fiji is a fantastic place to visit year round. So choosing when you want to go can depend on your ideal temperatures and whether you want to visit during or outside the peak season.

High season: winter (May to Oct)

    • Dry season means lower rainfall and pleasant temperatures in the mid 20s.
    • Peak season coincides with the school holidays in Australia and New Zealand with prices highest in June and July.

Shoulder season: autumn and spring (Apr to May and Oct to Nov)

    • Low rainfall, low humidity and milder temperatures.
    • Prices aren’t yet at their peak and the beaches and resorts are far less crowded.

Low season: summer (Nov to Apr)

    • Wet season in Fiji brings hot, humid weather with temperatures in their 30s.
    • The heavy rainfall and chance of storms mean fewer crowds and lower prices.

    Getting around Fiji

Getting around Fiji is easy and cheap. There’s a good network of buses, carriers (trucks) and ferries for travel within Fiji’s main islands, and taxis are a popular mode of transport. Hiring a car is a good way to explore the two largest islands – Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. Fiji also has two domestic airlines which operate between many of the islands. Though flights to the smaller, outer islands are less regular. One of the best ways to visit multiple islands, however, is by chartering your own yacht for an island-hopping adventure.
