Itinerary

  • Day 1: Adelaide - Wilpena Pound (470kms - 5 hours driving time)

    Depart Adelaide and travel north on the Princes Highway, past Port Pirie and on to Quorn, which is known for its heritage steam train journeys to Port Augusta. Carry on to the Yourambulla Caves and check out the ancient Aboriginal rock art housed in shelters or caves, before arriving in Wilpena Pound. This afternoon includes a 20 minute scenic flight, giving the opportunity to gain a bird's eye view of the region. Nowhere else in Australia can wildlife be seen in such close proximity and in such abundance as in the parks of South Australia.

  • Day 2: Wilpena Pound

    Today enjoy a full day 4WD Mountain Tops spectacular tour including lunch and South Australian wine. This tour will enable you to view one of the most extraordinary formations in the Flinders Ranges off the beaten track with expert guides to teach you about this fascinating region.

  • Day 3: Wilpena Pound - Clare Valley (290kms - 4 hours 45 minutes driving time)

    Travel south to the Clare Valley Wine Region, situated in the beautiful northern Mount Lofty Ranges and where the town of Clare nestles among wooded hills and orderly vineyards. Nearby are the historic towns of Burra, Kapunda, and also the oldest winery in the area - the historic Sevenhill Cellars established in 1851.

  • Day 4: Clare Valley - Adelaide (140kms - 1 hour 45 minutes driving time)

    Depart the Clare Valley and travel south to Adelaide.
