What We Say

Escape off the beaten track and see the real Australia on our self drive Gibb River Road Tour. An unforgettable journey through Broome and the Kimberleys in your 4WD along the rugged road - littered with spectacular gorges and waterfalls, experiencing the landscape introduced to the world in 'Australia - The Movie'.
Be a Jackaroo or Jillaroo and take part in a muster on a cattle ranch, spending a couple of nights in a tented cabin to really soak in the atmosphere.
Drench yourself in the spectacular sunsets, watching the sun reflect in the redness of the scenery, so surreal you'd think you were in an art gallery rather thantravelling the Gibbs River Road.

Spend time relaxing at the Cable Beach Club, set amongst tropical gardens and just a stones throw away from the beach. Must do's include settling in to a deck chair at Sun Pictures to catch a movie at the oldest operating open-air picture garden in the world; or checking out the dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume Point. Whilst in Broome experience a day trip of a lifetime as you travel by 4WD to Cape Leveque, a remote coastal wilderness area. Continue on to the very tip of the Peninsular to the stunning Western Beach for a delicious lunch, with some free time to relax, walk, or even swim before returning back to Broome via scenic flight.

  • Days 6-16: Explore the Kimberley by 4WD to Darwin

Your Gibb River Road adventure starts today! Pick up your 4WD vehicle, and head off on a nine day journey through the incredible landscape that was introduced to the world in 'Australia - the Movie'. Your co-pilot kit will lead you along the route to ensure that nothing is missed. After a first night stop at Mt Hart Wilderness Lodge you will continue your off- road adventure to Mt Elizabeth, a working cattle station. This is followed by a two night stay at the wilderness property of El Questro Station, in a Deluxe tented cabin at Emma Gorge. A million acres in size, El Questro is one of the world?s last unspoilt frontiers. Have a go at being a Jackaroo or Jillaroo as you go cattle mustering, or relax with a dip in the pool or Emma Gorge itself. After leaving El Questro you leave the Gibb River Road, enjoying the last of the stunning Kimberley sunsets in Kununurra, before crossing the border in the Northern Territory. Katherine and Kakadu offer dramatic gorges and wetland scenery, a complete contrast to that already experienced. The final leg of the epic trip introduces Darwin - the gateway of the 'Top End'. With a two night stay here you will have heaps of time to visit the many markets, buy aboriginal art, or visit the fierce residents of the new Crocosaurus Cove!
