Rejuvenate your senses in Thailand
The Kingdom of Thailand draws more visitors than any other country in Southeast Asia. And that’s hardly surprising with its irresistible combination of breathtaking natural beauty, renowned hospitality, inspiring temples and exquisite cuisine. So what better setting could one wish for to enjoy the tranquillity and rejuvenating refreshment offered at some of the world’s finest spa sanctuaries?
Six Senses Resorts & Spas are always found in idyllic surroundings. Locations are specially chosen to enhance the rejuvenating and revitalising experience. The Six Senses philosophy is based on a pyramid of ‘spheres’ representing sight, sound and touch. The second level balances on these by satisfying the more acute senses of taste and smell. The ‘apex sphere’ symbolises a sense of elation discovered only by balancing the first five – an experience where all senses are heightened beyond expectation.
The award-winning Six Senses Spas are designed as contemporary sanctuaries with particular regard to innovation and harmony with the surrounding environment and culture. Products used are made from natural ingredients only.
Sila Evason Hideaway & Spa, Koh Samui
Koh Samui lies inside the Gulf of Siam, midway between Bangkok and Phuket. The island is just 21km wide and 25km long with glorious tropical white, sandy beaches all around. You can explore the jungle by elephant trekking or visit the breathtaking Namuang Waterfalls – one of them tumbles down 240 feet.
The resort is located on a gently sloping headland on the northern tip of the island amongst 20 acres of indigenous plantations. These give a sense of privacy while still offering amazing vistas of the Gulf of Siam and outlying islands. And most of the spacious villas have private, infinity edge swimming pools that blend into the horizon.
The high level of service is typified by pool villa butlers and several dining areas are available – offering a wide choice of cuisine. You can choose a vintage from the highly rated Wines on the Hill cellar. Dining on the Rocks, located at the tip of the headland presents spectacular 270o views of the Gulf.
Recreation facilities include a water sports centre and the Six Senses Hideaway Spa with its outdoor salas (Thai-style pavilions) as well as indoor treatment rooms, saunas and steam rooms. The emphasis is on de-stress treatments that focus on bringing out your inner beauty by pampering to your body's needs. Therapists are fully trained to provide ‘high touch’ rather than 'high tech’ treatments and can help you choose the most suitable treatments fine-tuned to your individual requirements.
Evason Hideaway & Spa, Hua Hin
Two hundred kilometres southwest of Bangkok, Hua Hin first became popular in the as a 1920's summer retreat, when King Rama VII built a beachside palace here. It is very much a family holiday resort area with good shopping, multi-national restaurants with the best Thai seafood the country has to offer and fabulous beaches. The secluded Evason Hideaway is located in Pranburi, just south of Hua Hin.
The utmost privacy is afforded to guests with each of the 55 villas having its own pool in a walled garden and several with personal spa suites. Cobbled wooden pathways extend from the welcome area to the seafront, through tropical plantations.
One of the restaurants, The Living Room, features dining areas sunk into a lotus pond. For dinner, a selection of Asian and Western dishes reflect the fresh, daily market offerings. A bar adjoins The Living Room, next to the Wine Cellar which offers an extensive range of wines from around the world. The seafront Beach Restaurant has a traditional wood-fired oven serving classic pizzas and Mediterranean dishes. If you wish to dine in privacy it is easily arranged on your villa terrace. So you can enjoy a champagne breakfast or a barbecue beneath the stars. Alternatively, have your pool villa butler organise a picnic.
The Earth Spa by Six Senses is unlike any other. The concept came from traditional construction methods of rural villages in northern Thailand. Made entirely from a mixture of clay-like mud, rice husks and straw, there are nine circular, domed buildings in all, set in beautiful, landscaped water gardens. Choose from a wide range of treatments with a special emphasis on ‘Skin Food’ – the concept that nothing should be put onto the skin that could not be eaten. Many of the ingredients are grown right here at the Evason Hideaway including rice, candlenut, pandanus leaf, papaya and lemongrass.
Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi
Yao Noi is a wonderfully unspoilt, picturesque island in Phang Nga Bay, reached by a short boat journey from either Phuket or Krabi. There are several restaurants and bars, a superb wine cellar together with a chef’s table.

Evason Phuket & Six Senses Spa
There are many tropical island paradises in the world, but Phuket continues to rate right up there with the very best. Twenty years ago few people outside of Thailand had even heard of it, but Phuket, Thailand's largest island, has been a prosperous region since the turn of last century. In recent years it has leaned towards the development of more upmarket resorts such as the Evason Phuket.
Set amongst 64 acres of tropical parklands and gardens this idyllic location, on the south eastern side of the island, looks out over the Andaman Sea. All of the 260 guestrooms, suites, and pool villas (most of them sea-facing) have bright, open-style bathrooms helping to create a feeling of space and light while the décor is fresh and unconventional.
There is a choice of four restaurants serving a wide variety of dishes including Asian, Western, Thai and Mediterranean and a well-stocked wine cellar.
There are three swimming pools, one especially for families and adjoining it Just Kids! – a professionally managed centre to keep the children entertained all day. A boat shuttle service operates to the most beautiful white sandy beach on a private island with watersports activities and facilities including a bar, restaurant and spa treatment salas.
Indulge your senses in the luxuriously appointed Six Senses Spa with a comprehensive menu of treatments for holistic wellness, rejuvenation, beauty and healing treatments. Spread over three floors it sets new standards in spa design with treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms and additional salas on the spa terrace facing the Andaman Sea.
