Western Australia Holidays

Bounded by the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and Southern Ocean and covering the entire western third of Australia, Western Australia boasts endless stretches of white sand coastline where you wouldn't see another footprint for miles. Discover untouched landscapes just waiting to be explored, exquisite local food and wine, and a vast array of activities and wildlife encounters everywhere you go. From surfers and urbanites, to adventurers and divers, Western Australia holidays have something for everyone.

Experience vibrant Perth, a relaxed city of white sand beaches, world-class wineries and natural bushland. Explore the historic town of Fremantle, the quokkas of Rottnest Island and enjoy Swan Valley’s excellent wineries. In the southwest you will find ancient Karri Forests and the picturesque Margaret River - a region synonymous with good living, where you can enjoy gourmet food and wine. Head north up the coast to Coral Bay and Monkey Mia for close encounters with dugongs, whale sharks and dolphins. Further north lays a true Outback experience down the Gibb River Road, best enjoyed during the dry season, from April to September, and the Kimberley region, home to Purnululu National Park. Travel by 4WD down the Gibb River Road to see deserted waterfalls and gorges. A state of unparalleled beauty, holidays to Western Australia introduce you to a diverse and stunning region with plenty of hidden gems to discover.

If you’re looking for adventure and the opportunity to discover even more things to do in Western Australia, then why not try a road trip on one of our self drive holidays? This stunning state offers lots to see, and hiring a motorhome affords you the opportunity to explore at your own leisurely pace and go where the mood takes you. Explore fascinating sights like the Pinnacles’ lunar landscape, the Bungle Bungle Ranges with their beehive-shaped rock formations and the wineries at Margaret River, not to mention plenty of fascinating wildlife along the way. Join a camel train along Cable Beach, say hello to the dolphins at Monkey Mia and swim with whale sharks near the virtually untouched Ningaloo Reef at Coral Bay. Why not try one of our self drive holidays, like the seven day, Monkey Mia, Kalbarri and the Pinnacles self drive, perfect for wildlife fanatics or six days on the South West Highlights self drive in the Margaret River area, which is known for its fine wines, coastal scenery and surfing beaches. Be sure to include a Dolphin Watch Eco Cruise and enjoy a glass or two of Semillon while you’re there.

Explore Western Australia's cities

Perhaps the modern, prosperous city of Perth is more to your taste? This picturesque port city is Western Australia’s largest city, offering visitors plenty to see and do. The alfresco cafes along the South Terrace and the packed, bustling markets buzz with life making this a great place to stay for a few days or visit for an enjoyable day out.

Stroll along the bushland trails and take in the fresh air at Kings Park Botanical Gardens and view Perth’s city skyline from the Tree Top Walkway. Head to Scarborough Beach on the Ocean Coast to watch the surfers and sailboarders take to the waves or to Cottesloe Beach for some beachside dining along the boulevard.

In the far north of Western Australia you will find Broome, a pearling town with fantastic resorts and only two hours flight from Perth. The 22 kilometres stretch of white sands at Cable Beach is world famous for the fiery red cliffs, pearl diving and dinosaur footprints. For the ultimate experience, we recommend a sunset ride by horse or camel along Cable Beach. If you have time, take a leisurely 12 day self drive tour from Perth to Broome so you can see the diverse landscapes from the comfort of your motorhome. Take your time, take a map, take to the left hand side of the road and take lots of photos!
