What to do at the Bay of Islands

Take to the waters and discover the rugged seaward side of the Bay of Islands. Cruise past the majestic black rocks, so rare they only feature in 3 locations worldwide, also visit Marsden Cross - the site of New Zealand's first missionary settlement. The Island Adventurer can get you closer to the islands and even land you on the beach for a truly unique experience.

The cruise departs in a morning and finishes around 12.30pm, however you can choose to bring a picnic and spend the afternoon at Otehei Bay, returning back to Paihia at 4.15pm.

Cape Reinga and 90 Mile Beach

Travel across Auckland Harbour Bridge via the Hibiscus Coast to the stunning Bay of Islands, home to beautiful uncrowded beaches and native forests. This tour is a fantastic opportunity for those limited on time, the Bay of Islands is certainly not to be missed! Arrive in Paihia to visit the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds, before hopping aboard a cruise to Cape Brett to sail through the famous ‘Hole in the Rock’ natural stone archway, before returning to Auckland.

For those already staying in the scenic Bay of Islands, the cruise is also available to book from Paihia wharf.
